Question 1: What does NFC mean?

Near-Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range, wireless technology that allows devices—like smartphones to communicate when they are within a few centimeters of each other. Our TapThat cards have the NFC technology inside of them that are programmed with the link to your profile. This is the same way Tap To Pay works at retailers.

Question 2: Does the person I tap need an app?

No. TapThat works with the native NFC reader built into every modern iPhone and Android. Nothing to download.

Question 3: What if I change my phone number or job title?

Your profile lives on a web page — not on the card itself. We update your page and the card keeps working. No reprinting, no reprogramming.

Question 4: How long does it take to get my card?

Your profile is built and your physical NFC card ships within 7 business days (usually).

Question 5: Can I order more than one card for myself?

Absolutely. Many clients keep one in their wallet, one on their desk, and one in their car. Additional cards are $25 each.

Question 6: Is there a monthly investment?

Yes, we have two different variations of the TapThat Card. The Networker is $69 per month and the Executive is $99 per month. We run specials sometimes that will discount the monthly investment

Question 7: Who designs and builds my TapThat profile?

We do — completely. Our team handles the entire build from start to finish. Once you complete your intake form after checkout, you do not have to touch a thing. We design your profile, program your NFC card, and deliver everything ready to use. All you need to do is tap.

Question 8: Can I upgrade from The Networker to The Executive later?

Yes. If you start with The Networker and decide you want the full Executive experience, we make it easy to upgrade at any time. You pay the difference in setup and your monthly billing adjusts to the Executive rate. Your existing profile carries over — we simply enhance it.

Question 9: Will my profile work at trade shows, conferences, and networking events?

That is exactly where TapThat shines. Any modern smartphone — iPhone or Android — can read your card without any setup. You hand it over, they tap, your full profile is on their screen in under two seconds. No fumbling with apps, no typing in URLs, no paper cards getting lost.

Question 10: What if I am not happy with how my profile looks?

We want you to love it. If anything about the initial build does not feel right, let us know within 7 days of delivery and we will revise it at no charge. Your profile is a reflection of your professional brand and we take that seriously.

Question 11: Why is there a monthly fee?

TapThat is more than just a card — it’s a live digital profile that works for you every day. The monthly fee covers the ongoing technology behind it, including secure hosting, uptime monitoring, SSL security, profile management, updates, and the web-based tools that make your card shareable, editable, and functional over time. In other words, you’re not paying for plastic — you’re paying for the system that keeps it working.

Question 12: What is Connect Back and how does it work?

Connect Back is one of TapThat's most powerful features. When someone taps your card and views your profile, they will see a simple "Connect Back" button on the page. One tap opens a short form where they enter their name and phone number — that is it. Within seconds, you receive a text message and email alert with their contact details so you can follow up immediately while you are still top of mind. No app, no login, no back-and-forth. You tap them, they connect back, and you never lose a lead again.
